Fiduciary Services and Support Staff Rates
Hourly fees can range from $175 to $295 per hour depending on the matter and the staff involved. Professional Fiduciary rates are $295 per hour and support staff, including bookkeeper hourly rates is $175 is per hour.
*As of January 1, 2027, the Professional Fiduciary rate will increase to $325 per hour. All other rates will remain the same.
Ongoing and Post-Death Trust Administration
For ongoing Trusts and Post-Death Administration, annual fees range from .05% to 1.75% of the net value of the Trust or determined by the Trust instrument. The minimum monthly Trustee fee is $2,950 or the amount calculated under the following schedule, whichever is greater:
1.75% for $1,000,000 to $5,000,000
1.25% for $5,000,001 to 10,000,000
1% for 10,000,001 to 15,000,000
.05% above $15,000,001
Sale of Real Property
Should litigation be involved in the sale of any real property, whether commercial or residential, a fee equal to 1% shall be assessed against the gross sales price.
Statutory Probate Fees
4% on the first $100,000
3% on the next $100,000
2% on the next $800,000
1% on the next $9,000,000
0.5% on the next $15,000,000
For all amounts above $25,000,000, the court will determine a reasonable compensation amount.
In addition to statutory fees, pursuant to Probate Code§10801, extraordinary fees can be requested for services such as, but not limited to, tax issues, real property sales and litigation. Fees for extraordinary services are subject to court approval.
Expert Consulting/Witness Services
Expert Consulting fee – $395 per hour.
Expert Witness fee – $495 per hour which includes, but not limited to case review & research, expert report drafting, meetings with counsel, deposition preparation, deposition testimony, and travel time. Expenses to be reimbursed at the actual cost. Trial preparation and testimony fee is $550 per hour.
Expenses are billed at actual costs.
